Congratulations to our stars of the week in Kingsfishers; We are super proud of you all.
Thank you to those parents who were able to join us this morning for the Phonics Workshop, which looked at the learning that will be taking place in Reception during the spring term in phonics lessons. I have attached the documents which were shared and you will also have a paper copy of this in the phonics packs being sent home.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions with regards to phonics and reading in Reception.

We are so pleased to have Mrs Smith back today after the Christmas holidays. This term we are learning the steel pans; Mrs Smith reminded us that they originated from Trinidad and Tobago over 100 years ago!

Today, we have received a certificate of appreciation from The Royal British Legion for the money we raised during this year’s Poppy appeal. Well done to our families we raised £57.97.
Today, Father Christmas came to Anker Valley. He visited each of the classrooms and gave each child a special gift which they will be able to open on Christmas Day with their families. One little girl in Dragonflies described it as 'the best day ever!' and I think that sums it up beautifully.
Congratulations to our stars of the Autumn Term, we are so incredibly proud of you.
It has been panto time in school today as we start the Christmas countdown. The children enjoyed joining in with Dick Whittington and perfected their 'It's behind you!' exceptionally well.
